The Orion and Rovers met on the Recreation Grounds, Inches, for the first time this season, on Saturday last. Both teams played with great determination, and the game from first to last was a most exciting one. The Rovers made several raids on Orion's goal; but, owing to the good play of the back division of the latter club, they failed to score. The Orion were more successful, scoring a goal in each half of the game The first was shot by Baker from a scrimmage ; the second was centred by Mitchell and put through by Mackay. The game thus ended: Orion 2 goals; Rovers nil.
