A match was played on the Episcopal Glebe here on Saturday between the Orion (Aberdeen) and St Laurence (Laurencekirk). The home team were victorious, having secured five goals for the strangers' one.

Down the Laurencekirk way the Orion got rather severely potted to the tune of 5 goals to nothing. This is rather a down-come to the "Bismarcks" and does not look at all promising for their "great" match with the Aberdeen on Saturday. If it wasn't that their captain. J. Mackay is such a big chap I would be inclined to say it was pretty near their level, but I won't. I'll only think it.
As I said the Orion are down to meet the Aberdeen on Saturday. They are (or were before the Lauren¬cekirk match) pretty confident of taking down the senior club, but I am sorely afraid they won't, in fact it is pretty much a question of how much the Aberdeen may take off them. Be that as it may the match is creating a deal of excitement and the Aberdeen men are looking a bit to their condition while I have little doubt Mackay will see that his men are fit.
