A friendly "go" took place between these two teams on the ground of the latter and resulted in a win for the former by 7 goals to 1. The field was in a bad state, and the men in both teams had difficulty in keeping their feet. The high wind too interfered considerably with the play. Several changes had to be made in both teams, which of course all combined to take away from the results. Gray played a splendid game in goal for the Vics, and several others of the same team, notably Simpson and Ririe at back; Ingram at half-back; and Turner and Leggat as forwards, did good work.
