Orion 6 - 1 Caledonian, Aberdeen
Kick Off:  3:00 PM
Attendance: 0
Venue: Central Park, Aberdeen
Played at Central Park, in the presence of a fair number of spectators. The ground was very sloppy, and in the vicinity of the south goal had more resemblance to a bog than a football field. The Orion played down the hill in the first half, and scored five goals, while the Caley scored only one. With the incline in their favour, it was expected that the Holburn club would show up better, but they made nothing of the bad ground, and failed to earn any points. The Orion scored once in the second half, and the came finished in favour of the ground team by 6 to 1.

The Orion all over played a good game; Leggat, Gloag, and Jopp among the forwards, the half-backs, and goalkeeper all showing up well. The change from the smooth, true field at Holburn to the uncertain footing at the Central completely upset the Caledonian players, who repeatedly came to grief, and played generally without confidence and dash. In the second half, Main kept goal splendidly, and, had it not been that he was stuck fast among mud at the lower goal, he might have kept down the Orion's score in the first half. Neither club was fully represented.
