The Aberdeen 3 - 2 Caledonian, Aberdeen
Kick Off:    Clark, ?, Slater (o.g.)       Fraser, Fraser
Attendance: 0
Venue: Chanonry, Aberdeen
The Aberdeen and Caledonian met at Chanonry. The "whites" at once took the leather in charge, and Clark scored a few minutes after the start. The Caledonian had a lot of defensive work to perform and, when Aberdeen were within an ace of adding to their score, the Holburn men got the ball away. After a splendid run on the right the whole length of the field, the ball was sent over to the left wing, and cleverly kicked through by Fraser. The play till the close was mostly of a give-and-take character, each side having a fair share of the play. Several times the Aberdeen got the leather almost through, but were unable to beat the custodian, and the first half ended: Aberdeen, 1; Caledonian, 1.
The second period opened briskly, both teams striving to gain the leading point. Each goal was besieged in turn, but the defence was good, and for half-an-hour no scoring took place. The "blues" then got the ball in hand, and J. Fraser put on the leading point with a swift shot which eluded the goalkeeper. Aberdeen at once transferred play to the other end, and quickly equalised. Another point fell to the "whites" a minute later, Slater, of the Caledonian, sending it through. The Caledonian, a few minutes from the close, got the ball through, but the point was disallowed as being offside. Result: Aberdeen, 3; Caledonian, 2.
