Stonehaven 4 - 6 Victoria United
Kick Off:    Jack, Young, ?, ?       Turner, Watson, ?, ?, ?, ?
Attendance: 0
Venue: Cowie, Stonehaven
The United paid their final visit to Stonehaven to play a friendly match with the local team, and as both teams are in the semi-final of the Aberdeen Cup, some interest was felt in the result of the game. The ground at Cowie was very soft. The Vics, were without Ririe and D. Campbell, while Stonehaven was also minus two of their team. Directly after the start, Stonehaven got near their opponents' goal, when James Jack scored the first goal for the home team. Turner, for the visitors, soon equalised, and a fine header by Watson put them in the ascendancy for a short time. Young, for the home team, again brought the score to 2 goals each, but the Victoria again took the lead, and at half-time the game stood 4 goals to 2 in their favour. In the second half the Vics brought up their total to 6 goals, but in the last ten minutes Stonehaven played with great dash, and scored 2 goals, the strangers being the winners by 6 goals to 4.
