This holiday fixture was played at Central Park, before a fairly large crowd of spectators. Throughout the match the home men did not show that form which was reasonably expected of them, the forwards being exceedingly slack and lacking judgment. The half-backs, on the other hand, were all good, especially Gordon, and McKay; and the backs also did well, Foote being if anything the better of the two. The Thistle forwards displayed care and combination, and their passing was superb. They had practically all the play, and retired the victors by 6 goals to 1 goal.
