The Aberdeen 0 - 4 Montrose
Kick Off:
Attendance: 0
Venue: Chanonry, Aberdeen
Played at Chanonry. In the first half neither team scored, and the play was, on the whole, pretty equal; but in the second period Montrose worked with skill and judgment, and compiled no fewer than four goals. The Aberdeen, though they often invaded, were unsuccessful in their efforts to get between the uprights. While their shooting was defective - an old fault - it must be admitted that they were extremely unlucky. Result: Montrose 4, Aberdeen 0.

Montrose visited Chanonry on Saturday and inflicted a 4 to 0 defeat on the locals. Play in the first half was resultless, the Whites having if anything the best of the game, but their shooting for the goal was defective. In the second half the visitors embraced the opportunities offered them and notched 4 goals, to which the Whites could only reply with hard lines. The game was pleasantly contested, the Montrose playing with better combination than their opponents. Caithness, Wood and Key were best of the home side.
