Victoria United 1 - 1 Johnstone Wanderers
Kick Off:    Hickie
Attendance: 0
Venue: Victoria Bridge, Aberdeen
Played at Torry on Saturday in favourable weather before a good turnout of spectators. Kicking off, the strangers pressed, but the home backs repelled the attack, and the United then took up the running. Ferries sprinted up the left and had a try, but nothing resulted, Corners to each then followed without any result, and for the next quarter of an hour play was uninteresting. Ultimately the homesters broke away, and Hickie, capturing a neat centre from Turner, sent the leather through amid cheers. Stung by this reverse, the strangers played desperately, but owing to the grand defence of the local backs they were prevented from scoring. At half time the score stood 1 to 0 in favour of the United.
On exchanging, both goals were attacked in turn. Three times the Juteopolis custodian had to fist out the ball. Gray was also foiled repeatedly, but he proved impregnable, and play raged for a long time in midfield. The visitors, as time wore on, made desperate efforts to equalise, and in half a minute they were successful in doing so, a smart centre from the right being negotiated through the uprights. At call of time the scores stood: Victoria United, 1; Johnstone Wanderers, 1.
