Victoria United 2 - 1 Lochee United
Kick Off:  3:15 PM   Hickie, Black       ?
Attendance: 0
Venue: Victoria Bridge, Aberdeen
Played at Torry in favourable weather, and before a large attendance of spectators. Victoria kicked off against a slight breeze. Lochee were the first to show up, but Peter Simpson and Ririe soon sent them to the rightabout. Play on the whole was equal and fast, both goals being in turn visited. After half an hour's play a centre from the United right was improved upon by Hickie, and first blood was drawn by the home, team. Lochee attacked with the utmost vigour, and just before crossing over they were successful in equalising. At half-time the scores were: United, 1; Lochee, 1.
On resuming the homesters quickly took up the running, and ere many minutes had elapsed Black again gave his side the lead with a magnificent effort. The strangers were compelled to act on the defensive throughout the period, but so capital a defence did they maintain that there was no further scoring, and the match ended: Victoria United, 2; Lochee, 1.
