A friendly match between these clubs came off at Stonehaven on Saturday. The Aberdeen team was a weak one, while Stonehaven were without several of their regular forwards. The weather being exceedingly warm, only two half hours were played. The first half was well fought out, Aberdeen putting on three goals, while Stonehaven lost two good chances. On change of ends the home team put on their first goal, while Aberdeen scored a fourth. Stonehaven got other two goals, but the Aberdeen men, who were in the best condition, rattled up other five goals, and won a very pleasant game by 9 goals to 3. One of the Aberdeen team had to retire all the second half owing to an injury to his face.
