A friendly match between these clubs took place at Urie on Saturday in splendid weather. The Orion were minus Mackay, Gordon, and Leggat, and the Stonehaven without Valentine, their goalkeeper. Stonehaven started play with the sun in their eyes. In a minute or two the Orion put on a goal. The home team warmed to their work, and put on two goals in succession, but before half-time the Orion had scored four goals. Stonehaven, however, had hard lines, several shots just glancing over the bar. The second half was very fast, and inclined to be a bit rough. The Orion put on two more goals, as also did the home team, the game ending in a win for the Orion by six goals to four.

Orion - minus one or two of their usual eleven - travelled to Stonehaven, a pleasant game ending in favour of the strangers by 6-4. The ground men are showing vastly improved form, and mean to run the Aberdeen hard in their Cup tie on the 31st inst.
