The second round of the Aberdeenshire Cup competition was to have been played off within the Peterhead Recreation Ground. Owing to several of the strangers having been disabled at Dundee on the previous Saturday, it was agreed to hold over the tie till 12th December. The Orion, however, organised a team and visited Peterhead for the purpose of playing a friendly match. Rain having fallen heavily through the night, the ground was in a very bad condition. Peterhead, in the first half, had to play against the wind, and also had the worst end of the ground to defend. At half-time the Orion stood 3 goals against the home team's 2.
Peterhead played hard in the second half, and in fact they seldom allowed the strangers to leave their own territory. When time was called the game stood: Peterhead, 4 goals; Orion, 4 goals.
