Montrose 4 - 0 Victoria United
Kick Off:    Gibb, Thornton, Cairnton, Keillor
Attendance: 0
Venue: Links Park, Montrose
These teams played a friendly match at Links Park, Montrose. The Victoria won the toss, and Thornton, for Montrose, kicked off towards the west goal. After alternate invasions the two teams settled down to give-and-take play. Gibb drew first blood for the home eleven. During the remainder of the first half the Montrose had most of the play, and crossed over with a goal to their credit. On resuming, Keillor opened with a fine run, and after some warm work in the Victoria territory, Thornton added a second point, while a few minutes later a third was notched by Cairnton. Resultless corners then fell to both teams in turn. During the remainder of the game play was confined to the strangers' territory, and before the call of time Keillor, with a swift, low shot, again beat Cannon. The game ended: Montrose 4, Victoria United 0.
