Aberdeen opened their three days tour of the north at Elfin last night, when before 3000 spectators the First Leaguers defeated a team representative of Elgin, Forres, and Nairn by four goals to one.
Although never stretched, the Dons got a good game. Aberdeen led by three goals to nil at the interval, the scorers being Yorston (two) and Hill.
Immediately after the resumption, Dickie (Forres) reduced the leeway, but Yorston completed his hat-trick to regain the three-goal lead. Jackson, the Aberdeen back, was injured and retired fifteen minutes from the end.
