Clyde 3 - 0 Aberdeen
Kick Off:    Thomson, Fleming, Allan
Attendance: 3,000
Venue: Celtic Park, Glasgow
The match at Celtic Park, Glasgow, where Clyde had Aberdeen as their visitors, attracted 2000 spectators. Play was strenuously contested throughout, with Clyde value for their victory. After twenty-five minutes' play, Thomson opened the scoring. Following this, Aberdeen's goal was subjected to severe pressure, which resulted in Fleming adding a second goal, after he had struck the bar with a great drive. The visitors improved in the second half, but poor shooting lost them many good openings. Allan scored Clyde's third goal after a fine individual effort. In the closing stages Aberdeen made strong efforts to reduce the leeway, without success. Clyde showed a big improvement, especially forward, where Allan and Thomson were best. The visitors were strong in defence, but the forwards were poor, W. Wylie being the only successful performer.

About 3000 saw the meeting of Clyde and Aberdeen at Shawfield. The home side were still without Gilligan, while Soye's absence enforced to changes in the Aberdeen forward line, W. Wyllie crossing over to outside right and Scorgie filling the vacancy at outside left. If there was little method there was no lack of dash in the Aberdeen attack, and for half-an-hour the game was anyone's. Subsequently Clyde, thanks chiefly to Thomson and Fleming, had matters pretty much their own way. Both these players were in brilliant form and scored grand goals before the interval. When Allan added a third and soon after the resumption, Aberdeen were well held. Clyde were superior at forward and at half. Aberdeen were best served by Colman, both the Wyllie's, Walker and Archibald. The attack was disjointed, and the shooting, with one of two in exceptions, very indifferent.
