Aberdeen's Record Month
Aberdeen have improved considerably during the past few weeks, and with the exception of Soye, the eleven that has brought about the improvement appeared at Cathkin Park, Glasgow. For quite fifteen minutes from the start the northerners kept Third Lanark defending, but Brownlie's good goalkeeping spoiled their efforts. The Third lost Peake, and in the circumstances did well to cross over with the score sheet blank. Early in the second half Walker scored for Aberdeen, and the game improved considerably. The Third had Peake out again, and worked hard to get on level terms. Aberdeen were still, however, the more aggressive side, and seemed the more likely to score. That they did not do so was largely due to the cleverness of Brownlie. The visitors just merited the win they secured by one goal.

February is the best month Aberdeen have had this season. They never suffered defeat. On the 6th the beat Morton 2-0 at home, went to paisley a week later and won 2-0, then conceded a point to Hibs at Pittodrie, and on Saturday in netted two at Cathkin. This match, like most of those in the south, was played in wretched weather. Third Lanark with the wind in their favour, had the pull in the first half. Aberdeen, playing a waiting game, defended steadily, and, though seldom troubling Brownlie, kept the Warriors from scoring.

In the second half the Aberdeen forwards showed fine form, and when Walker took Brownlie by surprise with a long shot the points were safe. Walker and W. Wylie were the best wing on the field, and the Aberdeen halves, with J. Wyllie shining, were great all through. Colman defended finely, and Greig was very safe.
