The Holiday Matches.
These old rivals met at Chanonry in a friendly. The ground was very treacherous on account of the slippery surface of the frozen ground, and severe falls were frequent. The most serious happened to MacFarlane and Cobban. These two players collided and fell heavily, Cobban getting his ear cut, while MacFarlane was rendered unconscious, and had to be carried off the field.
Aberdeen had the best of the play in the first half, which ended: Aberdeen 3, Orion 1. In the second period the Orion were completely demoralised and did not score again, while Aberdeen added other 4, a poor game ending: Aberdeen 7, Orion 2.

The Aberdeen met their old rivals, the Orion in a friendly encounter at Chanonry on Saturday, but somehow the fixture didn't draw as these matches generally do. The Aberdeen, who were assisted by Arthur Whitehead, scored 3 goals to 1 in the first half, and in the second added other 4 points, thus winning by 7 goals to 1.
The Orion were minus the services of Macfarlane and Gloag in the second half, the flrst-named colliding with Cobban, while Gloag turned sick.
