Div 1 (Old)
Airdrie 1 - 1 Aberdeen
Kick Off:    Williams 47 (pen)       MacLachlan.
Attendance: 4,000
Venue: Broomfield Park, Airdrie
Aberdeen took a point away from Airdrie and in doing so had some reason to feel proud that luck smiled upon them in the doing of it. The Airdrieonians absolutely monopolised the first half, during which period it was the rarest thing to see the Aberdeen forwards anywhere near Wallace and the Airdrie goal. What with good saving on the part of Anderson, and some ill luck in shooting the Airdrieonians, despite all their pressure, could not get through, and a change of ends found each side goalless. Shortly after resuming, Williams scored for Airdrie from a penalty, and a few minutes later McLachlan equalised for Aberdeen.

In the game between Airdrie and Aberdeen at Airdrie there was no scoring in the first half. Anderson, the Granite City goalkeeper, was frequently troubled. Aberdeen had three changes in the team from the previous week. J. Jamieson, an amateur from the University, led the attack. Airdrie's centre frequently tried to get through, but he found it difficult to gather the greasy ball. Airdrie proved stronger in attack. Although their forwards showed some really clever touches, the Aberdeen halves and backs kept them well in hand. All the honours in the featureless first half were with the home team.

2 minutes after resuming, Airdrie were awarded a penalty kick, which was converted by Williams. They did not lead for long, however, as McLachlan equalised from short range after a corner kick. Aberdeen improved considerably, and frequently attacked, but they had no luck. One 1st half form Airdrie should have won, but in the second period, when Aberdeen showed up well, the game was value for a draw. This is the first Point Airdrie have obtained at home this season. Aberdeen's attack was disappointing, but the defence was thoroughly sound. Anderson kept a fine goal, while the halves put in a strenuous afternoon's work.
