Div 1 (Old)
06/11/1915

Celtic 3 - 1 Aberdeen
Kick Off:    McColl, Gallagher, McColl       Main.
Attendance: 4,500
Venue: Celtic Park, Glasgow
Aberdeen visited Glasgow, and played the Celts at Parkhead. Colman and Wyllie were notable absentees from the northern eleven, their places being taken by Chatwin and Brewster. There was a quiet opening, with Aberdeen up a rating against a steady wind. Aberdeen's goal had several narrow escapes, but the defence was sound. On two successive locations Anderson, the Pittodrie goalkeeper, saved well. Brewster from midfield almost scored, but the custodian managed to clear. After 28 minutes' play, Main scored for Aberdeen, after tricking McNair. Half-time arrived with Celtic one down.

In the opening stages of the second half, Aberdeen's goal was subjected to severe pressure, but the defence was resolute. McColl equalized from short range, and soon after Gallagher scraped through another. In the next minute, Aberdeen almost equalised. Aberdeen's half-backs played a great spoiling game, with McLauchlan the best. Just before time was called, McColl beat Anderson for the third time. On play, Aberdeen did not deserve to go under by two goals.
