Scottish Cup First Preliminary Round
Peterhead 2 - 3 Victoria United
Kick Off:    Smith, ?       ?, ? (pen), ?
Attendance: 0
Venue: Recreation Park, Peterhead
Played within the Recreation Park, Peterhead, before a large turnout of spectators. The Victoria had their full team present with the exception of Turner and Benzie.

Peterhead kicked off with a strong wind dead against them. For some time the ball was kept m midfield, but Peterhead pressed, and the strangers' backs were called into requisition. The Victoria assaulted in turn, and obtained a corner, but nothing came of it. Keeping up the pressure, a grand chance was offered the strangers, but missed. The United, however, would not be denied, and by and bye got another corner, but the leather was shot behind. The home team was now playing up strongly, and Smith did the needful in beautiful style. The Blues now came away hard, and tried their utmost to beat the Peterhead backs, but they were continually thwarted. After hard work the Aberdeen boys at last managed to lower the Peterhead colours, half an hour of the first half having gone past. From a penalty kick at the goalmouth the Blues scoured their second point. The half-time whistle sounded, the scores being: Victoria United 2 goals; Peterhead 1 goal.

In the second half each team scored a goal, and the game ended: United 3 goals, Peterhead 2 goals.
