Orion 5 - 1 Broxburn
Kick Off:    Gloag,       Reilly, Gloag, Gloag, From Scrimmage, Leggat
Attendance: 0
Venue: Central Park, Aberdeen
The Orion had on the Broxburn Shamrock at Central Park. There was a large gathering of spectators. Orion team: Cannon; Ross, Davidson; Wight, Dawson, Currie; Thom, Gloag, Forsyth, Leggat, Fraser. Shamrock team: Walker; James McCabe, Docherty; Reilly, John McCabe, Hughes; McCann, Turney, Allan, Marr, O'Neil.

The Orion kicked off uphill and the Shamrock began to press. Cannon was once or twice called to fist out before the game had well begun. About ten minutes after the kick off, however, Leggat got on the ball, and taking it along the wing centred to Gloag, who scored the first goal. Shortly after another run ended in the ball being shot over the bar. The Shamrock then had another five minutes' play in the Orion's quarters, and several good opportunities of scoring were lost by erratic shooting. Ultimately, however, after some exciting play Reilly succeeded in defeating Cannon, thus scoring the first goal for his team. No more scoring took place in the first half.

On resuming the homesters immediately commenced to press, and from a corner kick Gloag sent through a second goal, and a couple of minutes later notched a third point. Play now became exciting, and several times the visitors had hard lines in not scoring. From a scrimmage in the vicinity of the Shamrock's goal the ball was rushed through. Leggat from a pass off Thorn had no difficulty in putting on the fifth point. The latter part of the game was slow, and at the call of time the scores stood: Orion, 5; Broxburn Shamrock, 1.
