Victoria United 7 - 3 Forfar Athletic
Kick Off:    Sutherland, Clark, Sutherland, Clark, ?, ?, Clark       Shepherd, Scrimgeour, Scrimgeour
Attendance: 0
Venue: Wellington Bridge Grounds, Aberdeen
The Victoria United played off their fixture in the league at Wellington Grounds, where they met the Forfar Athletic. The teams were: Victoria United: Edwards; Foote, Ririe; Morrice, Annand, Duffus; Turner, Benzie, Sutherland, Meldrum, Clark. Athletic: Muckersie; Scott, Cable; Milne, Taylor, Mann; Anderson, Scrimgeour, Petrie, Booth, Shepherd.

The Athletic made a good start, but they were soon confined to their own quarter by the superior combination of the Victoria. On the left wing especially was the combination good, and not long after a start had been made Sutherland succeeded in scoring the first goal amidst the cheers of the onlookers. The homesters then continued to press, and from a scrimmage Clark scored the second goal. Hard lines were experienced by the "Blues" more than once, but on one occasion particularly did luck seem against them. A fine run of the forwards terminated in Meldrum shooting for goal, when the ball bounded on the top of the bar and there rested for a few seconds, and ultimately tumbled behind. This did not discourage the local men, however, and they were soon again testing their opponents' defence, and Sutherland was successful in putting on a third goal. The Forfar men made a determined attempt at scoring, and Shepherd managed to send in an effective shot. At half-time the scores were: Victoria United 3, Forfar. Athletic 1.

In the second half the Victoria United showed their combination to good advantage. Almost immediately on restarting Clark scored a fourth goal from a neat pass, and not long after the Athletic goalkeeper was beaten for the fifth time. The visitors, spurred on by these reverses, settled down to more judicious play. Scrimgeour had two fine runs, the one immediately after the other and both ended in goals. The homesters again got the better of their opponents, and Clark, single handed, increased their score to seven. The game ended: Victoria United 7, Forfar Athletic 3.
