Raith Rovers had an easy win against Aberdeen at Kirkcaldy. They showed splendid dash in the first half, when they scored three times through Newbigging (2) and Abbott. In the second half their play deteriorated, but Aberdeen could only score once, through Main, who failed with a penalty in the closing minutes of the game.

Raith Rovers, the wooden spoonists, found a weakfish Aberdeen side an easy prey at Kirkcaldy. Calder, who partnered Colman, took some time to find his feet, so to speak, and before he did so the points were lost and won. Raith scored their three goals in the first half-hour, and held that lead to the interval, In the second half, Main scored a fine goal. A penalty given for upsetting the centre ought to have further reduced the leeway, but on the run of the play the better side won, for the Kirkcaldy forwards gave the Aberdeen halves and backs a hard afternoon. The best man amongst the visitors was Cumming, who was always dangerous when on the ball.
