The meeting of Third Lanark and Aberdeen did not provide a great game, fine football being impossible under the treacherous conditions. Aberdeen were late in arriving, and took the field 10 minutes late. They were without jock Wyllie and Low, and this handicap them to some extent. Shortly after starting Aberdeen were unlucky in not getting a goal, but later Thirds had also hard lines. The best back on the field was Donald Coleman. Brewster did great work at centre half. Ambler, who was very active, had no luck. Both goalkeepers had a lot of clearing to do, but there was really not much dangerous attacking. Third lanark score through Sutherland 18 minutes after the start. Mclean increased their lead to two about the middle of the second half.
