Orion had as their guests at Central Park the Arbroath Wanderers. There was a fairly large turnout of spectators. The teams were: Wanderers: McArdle, Kenny (late of Arbroath), Penny (late of Newcastle West End), Brown (late of Arbroath), Cree, Leslie, Sinclair (late of V.U.), Valentine, Croll (late of Black Watch), Ned Smith (late of Arbroath), Ford. Orion: Edwards, Mackay, Ross, Wight, Dawson, Currie, Flaws, Thorn, Gloag, Fraser, Leggat.
The Wanderers won the toss and elected to play down hill. During the first half the teams seemed well matched, and the game was pretty equal. At the call of half-time the scores stood: Orion, 2 ; Wanderers 1.
In the second portion of the game the Orion completely out-played their opponents at every turn, and goal after goal was piled on. Edwards had scarcely anything to do, the ball hardly ever travelling his length. When the whistle blew for time, a very one-sided game ended: Orion, 8; Arbroath Wanderers. 1.

The Arbroath Wanderers are not a strong cup of tea, the large mixture of green completely spiling the infusion,
It was a walk over for the Orion, young McBain (of the 'Shire Harriers) filling Gloag's place in centre with marked ability.
Fraser played a grand hame, the halves were in their usual good form, and, as our special cor. puts it "the backas and full backs were as safe as the bank."
We give a foul agianst "Our Special" and stop play - tut, tut - printing, to say His Laziness' notes on the match at Central Park have been dribbled into the waste paper basket. Serves him right.
