For football enthusiasts on holiday there was yesterday no lack of attractions. No fewer than four matches were set down for the afternoon. The first took place at Wellington Grounds between those old rivals, Victoria United and Aberdeen. The match was close and exciting, but of genuine play there was little. The teams led alternately, but when time was called the ground eleven had the upper hand. Result: Victoria United 4, Aberdeen 3.
