The East Reserve League game at Bayview Park was almost a re-run of the preceding visit to Cowdenbeath - and not only because the losing margin was 1-3 in each case!
As at Central Park, the Pittodrie youngters suffered against more physical opposition, reinforcing the need for the younger players, in step with their natural physical development, to learn to compete in this aspect of the game.
Trailing by a goal at the interval, Aberdeen were put back on level terms by Graeme Ferguson early in the second half, but lost two more goals before the close.
