Cup Final Re-match
The visit to Meadowbank Stadium saw Neil Cooper and Scott Thomson return to action after injury absences and they were each given a testing comeback in a game marred by sleet showers and a bitterly cold wind.
A defensive mistake playing against the wind in the first half cost Aberdeen a 15th-minute goal, but Gregg Watson left his defensive beat to execute a clever one-two with Graeme Ferguson and notch an equaliser. Gregg came close to snatching the winning goal after the interval, but was foiled by the Meadowbank crossbar.
