Forfar Athletic 5 - 3 Victoria United

At Forfar. The Athletic at the outset played downhill and with the wind in their favour, and the strangers' goalkeeper at once had a lucky save from a shot by Thomson. After some smart play in front of the Aberdeen goal, Thomson headed the ball through. The Athletic again got the ball through, but the point was disallowed, and the Vics soon after this equalised. From this till near the close of the game, the Forfar team had play well in hand, and scored no fewer than five goals, but shortly before the call of time the Vics put two goals on in rapid succession. Result: Athletic, 5 goals ; United, 3.
