At Central Park, Kittybrewster, before a meagre turnout of spectators, the Victoria United and Aberdeen teams engaged in their last Northern League match for the season. Teams:- Victoria United: Mitchell; Kilgour, Craig; Drummond, Stronach, Drummond; Gauld, Duncan, walker, Ferries, Ritchie. Aberdeen: Bisset; J. Mackie, Thomson; Sangster, Taylor, Robertson; McHardy, Davidson, C. Mackie, Shiach, Massie. Aberdeen won the toss, and United started off up the incline. The opening stages were condiderably in favour of the homesters, who pressed vigorously for some time. Owing to the soft condition of the pitch, good football was out of the question, the players finding the greatest difficulty in holding their feet. After several attempts to acore, success attended the efforts of the United, Ritchie finding the net with a hot shot, close in. A spell of end to end play followed. Aberdeen next got down, and forced a corner. Massie centred beautifully, and Davidson banged the ball into the net.
On resuming, the United immediately pressed, and Walker shot straight for goal. Bisset, however, saved splendidly. Aberdeen had next a look in, Massie just missed by a few inches. Once more the United got into close quarters, Drummond sent in a long shot, and gaul tipped the ball into the net. Aberdeen again scored, through Shiach, but the referee ruled offside. McHardy, however, almost immediately afterwrads scored a goal, thus once more equalising.
