A Northern League fixture was played at Station Park, Forfar, on Saturday afternoon, between Forfar Athletic and Aberdeen. The teams were:- Forfar: Mitchell; Scott, Gibb, Cuthbert, Janes, McKay; Edwards, Dixon, Boath, Cowie, Neave. Abrdeen: Bisset; J. Mackie, Thomson; Bell, Sangster, Brown; Brash, Davidson, C. Mackie, Fullerton, Massie. Referee, Mr Cathros, Lochee United.
The game had been only a few minutes started when Edwards succeeded in scoring the first goal for Forfar, and a good chance was lost by Massie fouling McKay when in a good position for shooting. After some splendid play the Athletics again found an opening, and Boath scored.
In the second half Aberdeen made determined efforts to score, and Mackie netted the ball twice.
