Aberdeen engaged with the Victoria United in their return league fixture at Central Park on Saturday afternoon, before a large turnout of spectators. The teams were:- Aberdeen: Bisset; Bell, Dakers; Sangster, Thomson, Robertson, Brash, C. Mackie, Livingston, Davidson, J. Mackie. Victoria United: Murray; Kilgour, Craig; Bremner, A. Murray, R. Ritchie; Knowles, Duncan, Thom, Ferries, G. Ritchie. Mr. Nicol, Arbroath, was referee.

Aberdeen kicked off towards the south goal, and Murray was twice called upon to clear in the fist minute of the game. The United forced the first corner, however, and the Aberdeen goal had a narrow escape. Play continued to be evenly contested, but the United were playing with more dash than the Whites. From midfield Knowles got possession , and after sprinting along the right wing he crossed smartly to G. Ritchie, who in turn transferred to Ferries, and that player scored with a swift shot. Just before half-time, however, J. Mackie equalised for Aberdeen.

Aberdeen started off on the second half with great determination, and Murray was called upon to fist out in rapid succession. The United now showed a great improvement in their combination, and G. Ritchie scored with a fine shot, but the referee ruled offside. Almost immediately, Thom fairly beat Bisset with a smart shot, close in. The United continued to force the play, and G. Ritchie soon added a third goal for the Blues, and soon afterwards the same player rushed the ball into the net for the fourth time. Towards the close Aberdeen improved a little, and as the result of some fine passing J. Mackie scored a second goal for the Whites. Just before time, however, Knowles scored a fifth for the United.
