Aberdeen travelled to Dundee on Saturday, and engaged in a Northern League fixture with the Dundee A at Dens Park. The teams were:- Dundee A: Murray; Bonthrone, Jaffray; Falkert, Morrice, Robertson; Moir, McNiff, Dickson, Wilson, Gibson. Aberdeen: Bisset; McAvoy, Ross; Sangster, Murphy, Thomson; J. Mackie, C. Mackie, Kyle, Buchan, Paterson. Referee - Mr. Black, Edinburgh.
The Dundee A team commenced play and had the monopoly of the opening passages, although their repeated attempts to beat Bisset were futile. Aberdeen were confined to their own territory, and a well-placed foul kick allowed Dickson an opportunity of scoring. With only the goalkeeper to beat, he, however, shot feebly behind. Towards the end of the first half the Aberdeen eleven revived somewhat, but in the first period there was no scoring.
In the second period play was of a more even nature, but Dickson secured the winning goal for Dundee.
