Played on Clepington Park, Dundee. owing to the illness of the referee, Mr. Murray, Stenhousemuir, the Northern League match was declared off, and a friendly was played, a Dundee player, Mr. McGhee, acting as referee. The teams were:- Aberdeen: Bisset; Walker, Murphy; Drummond, Thomson, Paterson; Buchan, Breslin, Woodlock, Taylor, Shiach. Dundee Wanderers: Taylor; "Thomson", Connelly; McFarlane, McGregor, McNally; McKenzie, Black, Dougal, Carroll, Greive.
Aberdeen won the toss, and the Wanderers kicked-off. The game commenced brightly, the local team pressing matters in the early stages. Subsequently, however, the Aberdeen players had the best of it, and at the close of the first half the score stood at - Aberdeen2, Wanderers 1.
The second period was stiffly contested, and both teams scored, but the Aberdonians retained their advantage, and the game ended - Aberdeen 3, Dundee Wanderers 2.
