A goal by Sinclair, a provisionally signed player from Blairhall Colliery, gave the Young Dons the points in their last "C" Division game of the season at Pittodrie yesterday when they beat Brechin City 1-0. It was a drab, dreary affair that offered little entertainment to the 1000 spectators.
One of the few bright spots was provided by Hugh Murphy, also provisionally signed from Blairhall Colliery. He had a grand game at left half. Though slightly built he is strong in the tackle and clever on the ball. There was little between the teams and with a little more enterprise in attack Brechin could have forced a draw. The home defence in which Alex Young was the mainstay, was far from watertight. Hunter (King Street) and Sinclair, who formed the right wing, both showed clever touches but suffered from lack of experience.
