The Aberdeen A team was not seriously stretched to capture the Eastern League points from Arbroath Athletic at Arbroath. Gaining the verdict by the substantial margin of 4 to 1. At the start the Pittodrie defence was surprised when Stewart opened the scoring for the Athletic, but W. Robertson quickly equalised. Subsequently the home team were outplayed, and before the interval Forbes and Moir added further goals for Aberdeen "A."
In the second half, the visitors were not stretched to keep their lead, and always had the issue well in their keeping. Michie, in the Athletic goal, saved his side repeatedly, but near the close had to admit defeat from W. Robertson. For the winners Wilson. Connon, W. Robertson, and Forbes were best: and the best for the Athletic were Michie, McTavish, and Neave.
