Played on Aberdeen University Grounds. Teams:- Aberdeen University: Clark; Gerrard, Brebner; Ross, Gourlay, Macdonald; Clarke, Smith, Petrie, Sutherland, Forbes. Aberdeen A: Ritchie; Moir, Brebner; Robertson, Thomson, Ritchie; Freeland, Shinner, Macdonald, Murphy, Shiach. Aberdeen lost the toss, and kicked off towards the west goal, and ten minutes from the start Petrie scored for the 'Varsity. Aberdeen claimed offside, but the point was allowed. From the restart Aberdeen got well up, and Shinner had a good try for goal, but Clark saved well. Aberdeen continued the pressure, and had hard luck, the ball striking the post on two occasions. Eventually, however, from a fine pass from Freeland, Shiach equalised. Close on the call of time Shinner scored from a pass by Robertson, a rather uninteresting game ending - Aberdeen A, 2; Aberdeen University, 1.
