Aberdeen travelled to Brechin on Saturday and played a friendly game with the Harp. teams:- Harp: Esplin; Shand, Lyon; Tavendale, Irvine, Smart; Ritchie, Hershall, Dakers, Crockatt, Caithness. Aberdeen: Ritchie; Moir, Brebner; Willox, Thomson, Robertson; Freeland, R. Ritchie, Murphy, Wilson, Shiach.
The game was fast in the first half. Ritchie scored the first goal for Aberdeen from a corner. Crockatt equalised for Harp. Through a misunderstanding on the home backs, the Aberdeen team got the lead towards the end of the first half. Freeland being the scorer.
The visitors at once pressed at the restart, and Ritchie again scored for Aberdeen. Brechin secured a second goal, and the game ended - Aberdeen A, 3; Brechin Harp, 2.
