14/05/1906 | KO:

A match was played at Pittodrie, Aberdeen, last night in aid of the funds of the Bon-Accord Football League, between Aberdeen A and a select team chosen from clubs in the league. There were about 300 persons present when the teams lined up as follows:-
Aberdeen A: Herd; Willox, Brebner; Davidson, J. Simpson, Robertson; R. Simpson, Hilton, Brown, McNicol, Henderson.
Bon-Accord League: King (Artillery); Robertson (Parkvale), Cooper (Norht End); Laing (Strathdee), Nicoll (Bydand), Shand (Parkvale); Stewart (Ashvale), McLean (Artillery), McKenzie (Stoneywood).

The Bon-Accord League team opened very briskly, and after half an hour's play, McLean on the right secured the first goal of the match. Close on half time Hilton equalised.

On resuming the Aberdeen reserves took up the attack. The Bon-Accord players were at this stage completely outclassed, and Robertson and McNicol scored for Aberdeen. Towards the end of the game, the juniors played up grandly, and Stewart scored a capital goal five minutes from time. Laing equalised, and a very interesting game ended in a draw of three goals each.
