AS a precautionary measure Hugh Hay, the Aberdeen "A" inside left, was taken to Aberdeen Infirmary to have his ankle X-rayed following his injury against Dunfermline Athletic "A" at Pittodrie on Saturday.
It has now been revealed that there no fracture, though his ankle is badly bruised.
Hay had been the briqhtesl of the home forwards till his injury, but the player to get most satisfaction from the game must hare been lan Rodger, who scored four of his side's five goals. Boyd got the other.
SOMITH. the former Sunnybank inside forward, did well at centre-half. He began rather quietly, but his confidence grew as the game progressed and he finished a dominating figure in the middle.
Another half-back who had an outstanding game was Wallace on the left flank. He was always in the thick of things and contrived to put in a good deal of work in defence, besides setting the attack in motion with well-placed passes.
