12/02/1910 | KO:

Aberdeen A journeyed to Peterhead on Saturday, and met the local senior team in a friendly match at the Recreation Park. Notwithstanding the miserable weather conditions, a large crowd turned out to witness the match. The teams were:-

Aberdeen A: King; Hannah, Low; Robertson, Moffat, Henderson; Hay, Towns, Burnett, Edgar, Jaffrey.
up Peterhead: Lamb; Stevens, Philip; Bruce, Davidson, Thomson; Imlah, Scott, A. Cadger, Buchan, W. Cadger.

Play opened in a sensational manner, A. Cadger footing Peterhead one up within a minute of the start. Aberdeen A forced a corner, but they failed to confine the game to the Peterhead half, and the Aberdeen goal was made again the object of interest to the spectators. To Moffat tripping a local forward Peterhead for granted a penalty, and A. Cadger converted with a low shot.

Owing to the rain, the teams were rather late in turning out for the second half, the visitors, indeed, remaining in the pavilion a good quarter of an hour after the whistle blew for resumption. One inpatient spectator shunted to them to come out and get their Waterloo - a sally which provoked much laughter from the crowd. On resuming, Aberdeen A settled down to a dogged game, and their forward line had hard luck several times. After several tries, however, Hay succeeded in getting an goal, and the Aberdeen men played with redoubled vigour, but up to the close of time their efforts were unrewarded.
