In the semi-final of the Scottish Second XI Cup, Aberdeen A defeated Kilmarnock A by the only goal scored by Watson, the visitors' outside left after fifteen minutes' play. Both teams played throughout the second half with ten men. In a collision with Wyllie, McHallum, the Kilmarnock inside left, sustained a fracture to the left leg, and had to be removed on a stretcher. Shortly afterwards, Cail, the Aberdeen inside left sustained a knee injury, and also had to retire for the remainder of the game. The game was strenuous throughout, with Aberdeen generally holding the upper hand and both defences playing skilfully. There was an exciting and gruelling second half, but Aberdeen held their lead to the end and were deserving winners.
