Dons Youths Stay Top

Facing league leaders Dundee United at Gussie Park, the Aberdeen youngsters could have been two ahead by half-time had Derek Young and Russell Duncan made more of the chances they had. Five minutes after the interval, a Hart foray into the United box led to Young having a shot saved, but Clark was on hand to score. United got themselves back into the game with an equaliser but the visitors were not to be denied and regained the lead in 74 min¬utes when a through ball from substitute Karl Williamson created an opening which Young exploited.
