Aberdeen 'A' Draw At Airdrie

Aberdeen "A" gained a point at Airdrie on Saturday, when they divided two goals with Airdrieonians "A." The Aberdeen second string are still top of the Alliance League table with a lead of one point from St Mirren " A.
Aberdeen were superior at the start, but the Airdrie defence kept them out, and Notman had only long shots to deal with. Falloon and Wilson were prominent in the Aberdeen attack. Cosgrove and Fairley were injured and had to retire. After McFarlane had hit the upright, McLaren from forty yards out beat Notman, give Aberdeen the lead. Play became fast, and McKenna equalised off a cross from Allison. Airdrie attacked soon after the resumption, and McSevich did well to stop a first-timer from Wood. Aberdeen attacked in turn, and Wilson scored, but the point was disallowed. The Pittodrie team held the advantage and Cosgrove, who had resumed at outside right, had a shot which Notman held. Lawson gave a fine display, and many clever centres by this player went abegglng.
