Win For Aberdeen 'A'

Owing to adverse weather only about 600 spectators saw Aberdeen "A" defeat Fraserburgh by four goals to one in an Aberdeen and District League fixture at Pittodrie Park last night. The Aberdeen team included four juniors who, with the exception of the centre-forward, all gave a good display. During the whole game the locals held the advantage and but for the centre-forward weakness might have won by a much bigger margin.
The game had not been long in progress when a fast centre by Falloon rebounded off a defender into the net. Give-and-take play followed for a time, but Aberdeen were always the superior side. In a Fraserburgh raid Gray beat Cooper in clever style, but Blackwell held his shot. Despite their best efforts, however, Aberdeen did not increase their lead before the interval. Early in the second period Falloon increased Aberdeen's advantage in a goalmouth scrimmage. The visitors retaliated, and Cooper gave away a penalty, which Bain converted. After this success Fraserburgh attacked vigorously but the Aberdeen defence proved too good for them. The home side did not exert itself, but before the finish Donald and the centre-forward had both found the net.
