Plucky Fraserburgh

Aberdeen First Team Win Narrowly.

The Aberdeen first league team visited Fraserburgh last evening to play an Aberdeen and District League fixture. The visitors won by the odd goal in three, but they had to go all out, and the spectators were delighted at the plucky way which the home team stood up to the "Dons."
Play was very fast in the first half although Anderson had a lot more to do than Yuill. In fact, the home custodian was the hero of the encounter, and but for his splendid work there would have been a different story to tell. The backs also rose to the occasion and Hendry was one of the most resourceful men on the field.
About twenty-five minutes from the start Watt sent in an accurate flag kick which BRUCE put into the net and the interval arrived without the Dons having counted.

Yorston's Equaliser.

Early in the second half, however, the equaliser following upon a corner kick, YORSTON scoring at point-blank range. Fraserburgh continued to have a good share of the game, but fifteen minutes from the resumption LOVE gave his side the lead. The homesters protested against what they considered to be an offside goal, but the referee was adamant. Fraserburgh continued to give as good as they got after this reverse, but could make no progress.
