Kilmarnock A Soundly Whacked at Rugby Park.
Aberdeen reserves put up a smart performance at Rugby Park, where they soundly trounced Kilmarnock A to the tune of five goals to nil. The young Dons held the advantage in the first half, and the home goal had several escapes before it fell. It was a somewhat lucky goal, Landsborough beating his own 'keeper in attempting to clear. Shortly before the interval Robertson increased the Aberdeen total when he headed home a Love cross. The young Dons took matters in hand right from the restart, and with five minutes gone Armstrong put them further ahead. Killie rallied and Cumming and Gavin were prominent in the Aberdeen defence. Aberdeen were soon at the other end, and Westland, who was Aberdeen's most dangerous forward, brought the total to five with two smart goals.Source: Press & Journal, 6th November 1933
