An Aberdeen Junior Select created a minor sensation at Pittodrie last night when they held Aberdeen "A" to a draw of six goals each. The match, which was in aid of the A.J.F.A. funds, attracted a crowd of 2000.
In a rather poor opening half the young Dons had most of the play, and led 5-1 at the interval. Devers (2), Love, Anderson, and Johnston scored for the seniors, while Kirton got one for the opposition.
A great rally by the Juniors featured the second half, and, with ten minutes left to play, they were leading by the odd goal in eleven. The scorers were Scott (2), Buchan. R. Donald, and Smith. Just before the end Devers got the equaliser for the young Dons.
