Galston Fade Out After Bright Start.
After making a bright start, Galston were completely mastered in the Scottish Alliance game at Pittodrie. Aberdeen A got something of a shock when Mair, centre-forward, put Galston ahead in the first minute. The visitors did not enjoy the lead long. J. Smith, of Mugiemoss, who figured on the home left wing, equalised within the next minute. Johnston scored a second goal for the Young Dons before the interval. Galston were fortunate not to be faced with a bigger leeway at this stage, as the home forwards had missed many chances. Galston were even less in the picture in the second half. J. Westland and Adam completed the home total with smartly-taken goals.Juniors on View.
The junior element was prominent in the game, four local junior players taking part. Aberdeen "A" fielded three of them, and Galston, who turned up a man short, one. N. Smith, Banks o' Dee, back, and Killah, of the same club, half-back, both played well, but Smith, the Mugiemoss winger, did not impress, in the home side. R. Tough, of Banks o' Dee, who obliged Galston by turning out at forward, paid his way. Both defences were sound, and in attack Aberdeen were best served by Adam and Johnston, and Galston by Mair and W. Connell.
